3. Volunteer at one of our District Mission Centers.
We encourage you and your congregation to look around. Are there neighbors in need in the community where you serve? If you can identify a need, we can provide the guidance and resources to help it become a viable ministry reflecting the love of Jesus Christ at work in the world. Caring for the most basic of human needs is the first step in making disciples.
The mission of United Methodist Community Ministries is to assist congregations in doing ministry with and in the community where God has called them. We serve nine counties of central Ohio, including Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Licking, Logan, Madison, Marion, Pickaway, and Union county.
Our goal is that every congregation becomes involved in life-changing, risk-taking service for the transformation of the world, starting with our own local communities. To that end we offer training, hand-on opportunities, and Local Outreach Grants and Partnership facilitation. (More About Us)
